Dear Friend, My name is Masa Cecelia Kennedy
Gueh and I am from Liberia, West Africa.
I came to the US permanently when the Liberian bloody civil war
started in 1990. I am the mother of
five biological and twelve adopted children.
I was compelled to walk away from all but two of them who came with me
to the U.S. It was a hard, bitter and tearful thing to do. The only strength I had was to turn to
God, pray and make a vow to Him: if
He kept all of my children and me safe then I would go back to build an
orphanage for the needy children and become their mother once again. God honored my prayer; we were all saved. In May 2006 God helped me establish Trinity
Children Center, Inc. in Liberia.
Five acres of land were purchased.
During this time I worked in Georgia as a manager and had a small
business of my own. I set aside some
of my wages to send supplies back to Liberia on a regular basis. In October 2006 Calvary Chapel Stone
Mountain funded the construction of
the school. I then traveled to
Liberia for one month to oversee the laying of the foundation. Presently, we
have built fifteen classrooms and a long auditorium. The school needs a roof, the clinic and
the dormitory need to be built, a church has to be built, and the dean/matron
quarters also need construction; however, I have run out of funds. I am appealing to you to please help us
build these facilities for these helpless and needy children as well as to
keep my vow to God and these children. Thank you for any help that
God lays upon your heart to give. I
have pictures of the children and construction of the school along with all
necessary documentation available on this website. You may contact pastor James Chapman of Calvary Chapel Stone Mountain
(770-736-2828) to verify the truth of my story and the needs of the
children. The church has graciously
agreed to handle all the funds received for the project and the children's
needs. Sincerely, Masa Cecelia Kennedy Gueh Founder &
Director PS 41: 1 Blessed is he who considers the poor; the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will Preserve him and keep him alive |
